My Cervical Mucus Had A Pink Tinge

@ Deprecated Java for Mac OS X

It had to happen sometime: After it had already fallen from grace Flash, Apple has no desire to Java ...

to Release Notes for published yesterday " Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 3 ", the Java SE 6 to version 1.6.0_22 update, found a prominent place to note that from Apple's own Java implementation immediately as outdated technology and is in future Mac OS X versions may be missing.

Although this announcement is described directly below that and how this update Java Virtual Machines (JVMs) other manufacturers can be integrated easily into the system (which I discuss in a subsequent blog entry) and the exact wording of the Apple Java discontinuation almost implies that another manufacturer will step into the breach - that is not secured.

Until then Oracle or IBM or anyone else (Google?) Officially announced that they will provide a Java implementation for Mac OS X, we unfortunately have to assume that Java is dead on the Mac. This should

extremely negative impact on the use of Macs in businesses, because there Java applications are often needed in one form or another. Similarly, the Mac is so uninteresting for educational institutions, particularly universities, as there often is used as a teaching language Java. And the Java developer community in which (at least felt) are above average number of Mac users to new hardware purchases and upgrades will consider coming to Mac OS X versions well.

to be hoped that the announcement was only a communications disaster with bad timing. On the other hand, are judging by various Internet sources be Java applications for the upcoming "Mac App Store" is not acceptable because it is outdated technology. And this looks even more like a purpose ...

wait and drink coffee.

Hibernate 3.6 with higher performance and without Java 1.4 Envers

Yesterday there was the second major release this year Hibernate: Hibernate 3.6 . As short for Hibernate 3.5, which mainly took the JPA 2.0 compatibility, the new version not very many new features, but has experienced particularly urgently needed internal changes and re-implementations:
  • Java 1.4, is no longer supported, provided So now Java 5.0 and later.
  • The internal type system has been revised. In particular implementations custom mapping types probably have to be adjusted. Who
  • XML mappings used, the DTDs of http://hibernate.sourceforge.net/ on http://www.hibernate.org/dtd switch.
  • And finally contains the supplied Envers a new audit strategy ValidityAuditStrategy . So now, not only the initial time a revision is stored, but also the end time. While the store by a little more time and requires an additional column in the database table, the reading of historical data is significantly better performance.

Difference Between Aspergers And Social Anxiety

Scala roadmap, including literature

Something's happening in Scala universe. According roadmap should be published later this month, version 2.8.1. Chronologically, it looks good because the version is already available as a second release candidate . With this small update, mainly eliminated errors which had been settled by the strong internal changes to the jump to version 2.8.

The next major update will be Scala 2.9, which is planned for early next year. It should be mentioned especially parallel collections.

order companies in the implementation of Scala and Scala in the migration of older versions to support, has Martin Odersky , the inventor of the language, recently created Scala Solutions . A good and necessary step in order to scale in a commercial environment refers to acceptance, worthy of the language! (Scala workshops you can also book elsewhere ;-)

And a bit of advertising in their own right: The Galileo Published Today my book "The Scala Getting Started Developer .." Announced to be released next year. Until the publication is still plenty to do, but it's fun to see after over five years to once again created a book :-)
