My Cervical Mucus Had A Pink Tinge

@ Deprecated Java for Mac OS X

It had to happen sometime: After it had already fallen from grace Flash, Apple has no desire to Java ...

to Release Notes for published yesterday " Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 3 ", the Java SE 6 to version 1.6.0_22 update, found a prominent place to note that from Apple's own Java implementation immediately as outdated technology and is in future Mac OS X versions may be missing.

Although this announcement is described directly below that and how this update Java Virtual Machines (JVMs) other manufacturers can be integrated easily into the system (which I discuss in a subsequent blog entry) and the exact wording of the Apple Java discontinuation almost implies that another manufacturer will step into the breach - that is not secured.

Until then Oracle or IBM or anyone else (Google?) Officially announced that they will provide a Java implementation for Mac OS X, we unfortunately have to assume that Java is dead on the Mac. This should

extremely negative impact on the use of Macs in businesses, because there Java applications are often needed in one form or another. Similarly, the Mac is so uninteresting for educational institutions, particularly universities, as there often is used as a teaching language Java. And the Java developer community in which (at least felt) are above average number of Mac users to new hardware purchases and upgrades will consider coming to Mac OS X versions well.

to be hoped that the announcement was only a communications disaster with bad timing. On the other hand, are judging by various Internet sources be Java applications for the upcoming "Mac App Store" is not acceptable because it is outdated technology. And this looks even more like a purpose ...

wait and drink coffee.
